What we publish
Islefolio is an island-first relocation directory for families and remote workers. We compare inhabited islands on schools, healthcare access, cost of living, residency by passport, connectivity, and storm exposure — with a source link and last-verified date on every data field.
How profiles are built
Curated archipelago chains (for example U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Balearics) are researched field by field from government statistics, school sites, and official immigration pages. Our methodology page explains sourcing rules, confidence labels, and how we handle estimates.
Search-ranked snapshots
The “Most searched islands” chain lists high-interest inhabited islands we have not yet fully curated in other chains. Those pages are clearly labeled snapshots: they include sourced baseline fields but are not promoted in our sitemap until enriched. They help families discover candidates; curated chain profiles remain the primary reference.
Editorial independence
Island rankings are never paid. Advertising and any future affiliate placements are labeled and kept separate from compare tables and sourced data rows. We do not provide immigration, tax, legal, or medical advice.
Corrections
Found an error? Use our contact form or email hello@islefolio.com with the island name, field, and a link to a better source. We update last-verified dates when we confirm changes.
